A DAY OF DELIGHT
Proverbs 22:6 TMBA
Train up a child in the way he
should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
As a Mom, growing Levi up to know the
love which the Eternal Father has for him is so very important as he goes
through life. It is my hope that he will
grow with an understanding of who Jesus Christ our Lord is and also witness
some amazing things that the Eternal Father can accomplish in his life.
Levi has 2 wonderful milestones as a
toddler that I am happy about, firstly, he loves the Sabbath, and besides the occasional
meal of salmon, he enjoys eating vegetables. At home he learns about Jesus’
love for him and he shows his delight for the Eternal Father's Sabbath, through his love of singing along to the hymns. He also learns about Jesus and some bible verses from the TV programs, "Tiny Tots
for Jesus” and the “Toddlers’ Bible”, which provides a learning experience from the various puppet characters.
Levi also knows how to settle down at
Sabbath Services while he draws, or read his books or plays with his toys. Observing the Sabbath as a toddler is quite a
challenge, as he really just wants to be outside at play…but he does well all
the same, and it gives purpose to our time together as a family.
It’s lovely watching him kneel in pray when
he awakes at mornings, when he says “mommy,
let us pray”…however, being a toddler, he is quick to finish his morning prayer
and move on to play, which is just fine.
This is true.. Training him up in praying and the fear (reverence) of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom :)
ReplyDeleteNo matter what or where life takes little Levi he will always remember the Lord and to pray as this is what is embedded in him from birth. Pray is the foundation which he will be able to draw from when he is faced with challenges.
