Encouraging a communication bond

There is a special something in putting aside time to share with our son, Levi, for one thing, there’s never a feeling of awkwardness in communicating with him - we can talk easily.  He loves to share his feelings through his childish babbles from activities he has enjoyed throughout the day and even from past activities shared with other kids in the neighborhood, at his pre-school or from among our relatives of which he is a one-0f-a-kind favorite and from the things that motivated him enough to make an impression on him.

From observing his interest, he lets us know what he has seemingly out-grown from activities which is not “current” and do not capture his attention, to which we as his parents also join by allowing him to build new interest that stimulates and encourages opportunities for wider communication skills and language outcomes.  Some of the stuff and activities from his earlier period of interests which casually no longer holds his interest are children television shows, old reading books, certain item of clothing which he never wishes to wear ever again, or baby feeding utensil items that he has certainly outgrown, sometimes it’s very interesting on reflection to note that this tiny individual can display such independence at this tender age.   As parents, we enjoy seeing him laugh, join in activities that works out to excite and hold his attention, try new things and enjoy what he does, we are so very thankful for him.
